Patch Notes v0.2.19719

Gameplay & Balancing
  • The starting ship limit has been reduced to 1 ship (was 2). This limit increases by +1 at Exploration level 4 and Technology level 4.

  • The Xenic Farm can now be built and used at Science level 4.

  • Heater modules can now be crafted at Science level 5.

  • The Fuel Generator and Battery Array are now unlocked at Technology level 3 (was 4).

  • Shuttles and Shuttle Landing Pads are now unlocked at Technology level 4 (was 3).

  • Resource nodes above tier 3 can no longer be scanned with the Scanalyzer Alpha.

  • The Scanalyzer Beta is now unlocked at Exploration level 2.

  • Constructing a building for the first time now grants Technology XP.

  • Carbonic Fuel now requires Water and a Chemical Factory to craft.

  • Missile Frames now use Chemical Explosives instead of Carbonic Fuel.

  • Shuttle crafting now requires Carbonic Fuel instead of Motors.

  • Liquids can now be collected underwater using the Hose Pump.

  • Minor adjustments to permit prices.

  • Power production generator patches can now be applied to Solar Panel modules.

  • FTL engines have been rebalanced to better differentiate Light, Midweight, and Heavy variants.

  • Ship acceleration has been updated, with a new acceleration time stat based on ship weight and thrusters.

  • Ship rotation has been reworked:

    • Added steering strength to thrusters and wings

    • Added a maneuverability stat affecting turn speed

    • Existing ships may require adjustments for optimal handling

  • Ships should no longer escape planetary gravity unintentionally while moving forward.

  • FTL travel and the Wanderback skill can no longer be used with an overfull cargo.

  • Added many new missions.

Quality of Life & Visual Improvements
  • Updated the appearance of the Cart Pusher Thruster (may cause cosmetic issues on existing ships).

  • Ship camera has been improved to better adapt to different ship sizes.

  • Added many new block shapes for ship building.

  • Known blueprints are now visible in the encyclopedia (not retroactive).

  • Rare resource node discoveries are now added to the encyclopedia (not retroactive).

Bug Fixes & Optimizations
  • Numerous fixes in the Ship Editor.

  • Improved Mining Bureau positions to provide more useful locations.

  • Drone routes are now properly removed when dismantling buildings.

  • Fixed an issue when dismantling Shuttle Landing Pads.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where players could access docks in an incorrect state in Helicon and Syracuse, which could cause a softlock until respawn

  • Shuttle Pads can now be dismantled correctly

  • Fixed colliders that prevented players from interacting with their ship when docked in certain slots (notably in smaller stations like Syracuse)

  • Fixed an issue where Corpo storages could be purchased beyond the intended limit, causing them to lose storage capacity (Storages that were already broken at 0/0su will be fixed in the next update)

  • Players who were stuck in Syracuse after taking the bus can now properly respawn and get unstuck.

Known Issue
  • Players logging into Helicon or Syracuse stations may encounter a bugged state.

    • Workaround: open the menu, respawn in your ship, and undock from the station to return to a normal state.

Gameplay & Balancing
  • Removed the Trade Nexus from Syracuse (all pending trade offers have been lost).

  • Added Trade Nexuses to Helicon and another late-game station.

  • The Wanderback cockpit is now available at Exploration level 4.

  • The Battery Array can now be crafted at Technology level 4.

  • The Mimetic Detector now works with liquid resources.

  • Power costs for Smelter recipes have been adjusted.

Gameplay & Balancing
  • FTL paths now require 30% more mag-plasma the first time you use them.

  • The Cosmic Navigator module is now available at Exploration level 2. It allows you to set a destination in the galaxy map, calculates the cheapest known path, displays the total mag-plasma cost, and guides you to the next jump.

  • The Mimetic Detector module has been moved to Exploration level 4.

  • Liquid Extractors can now be built on liquid pools within your base area. When connected to the power grid and linked to a Cistern, they automatically extract liquids.

  • The Asteroid Mining and Chemical Explosives permits are now slightly more expensive.

  • The selling price of A-Carbon has been reduced.

  • Coal Clump resource nodes now take longer to mine.

  • Module crafting times have been standardized.

  • Power costs for some Crystallizer recipes have been increased.

  • After completing the main objectives, instances now display how much major loot remains undiscovered.

  • The Farm Building has been temporarily disabled.

  • The Anvil cockpit can now be crafted at Technology level 4.

  • You can now build a third base at Technology level 5.

  • The Quiet Breeze thruster (Exploration branch) now provides slightly more thrust.

  • Shipwrecks can now appear randomly across planets, even in previously scavenged areas.

  • Shipwrecks will now despawn if they have been mostly scavenged and left unattended for a while.

  • The Cart Pusher engine now consumes less power, improving early ship progression.
