Patch Notes v0.2.21021

Known Issues
  • We are aware of several issues that may make this version unstable in certain situations, and we will address them as quickly as possible over the coming days.

  • If you encounter any issues during gameplay, please report them using the in-game feedback tool.

  • Pathway exits are not functioning correctly.

  • Account reset is currently unavailable.

Corporation Request Rework
  • Requests are now generated once per week during the night between Thursday and Friday.

  • Competitive Requests, which grant Reputation, can now be completed multiple times. The maximum number of completions is shared across all Corporations, meaning players will compete to fulfil high-demand Requests before they run out.

  • Licence Requests, which grant Licence Points, can now be completed once per week per Corporation. Unfinished Requests will remain available the following week.

  • All Requests have been updated and assigned to NPCs in Helicon, Raqmu, Syracuse, and Nemea.

  • Added a failsafe Level 1 Request to an NPC in Helicon for Corporations created by players who have already completed the Request tutorial, helping to prevent progression blockers.

Balance Changes
  • Corporation Licence costs have been slightly rebalanced.

  • The prices of Mercury, Xenic Oil, and many of their by-products have been increased.

  • Spacekorn Plain products have been rebalanced:

  • Gathering now yields slightly more seeds.

  • Seeds now produce slightly more oil.

  • Pulp now produces slightly less protein.

  • Study times have been updated to fit the new progression system. Early studies now take longer than before, while later studies scale less aggressively.

  • Added the Factory building, which is now required to craft Large Modules and Casings.

  • Removed the Medium Liquid Tank recipe from the permit tree.

  • Updated the prices and crafting recipes of several items to improve compatibility with automated production chains.

  • The cost of the Corporation Command Center has been reduced and now requires roughly 16 Warehouses’ worth of materials instead of 27.

  • Corporation Permit costs and benefits have been rebalanced:

  • Higher upkeep costs.

  • Higher costs for early-game permits.

  • Lower costs for late-game permits.

  • Upkeep increases for Corporations with multiple members have been slightly increased, although larger Corporations should still benefit overall from having additional members.

Visual & Performance Improvements
  • Various visual improvements throughout the game.

  • Added a Texture Quality setting to the options menu. Lower settings should improve performance on systems with limited VRAM while having only a minor impact on visual quality.

Fixes
  • Fixed the “throttle within throttle” crash.

  • Micro-Furnaces now produce alloys at the correct speed, matching manual crafting.

  • Plants should no longer grow instantly or produce excessive quantities after a server restart (pending live confirmation).

  • Fixed the Titanium 6x3x3 Part Frame having an incorrect value of 52 instead of 54.

  • Fixed shields being destroyed when entering debris fields due to server lag.

  • Fixed an issue on Vallaco Gamma V that could prevent players from logging back in after entering the planet’s vicinity.

  • Various additional fixes and optimisations.

Patch Notes v0.2.20653

Gameplay & Balancing
  • Corporation Requests are currently being reworked. This may cause issues with Requests already in progress after the update.

  • Shuttles now have a maximum range across the galaxy.

  • Shuttle speed has been rebalanced and is now roughly twice as fast as before.

  • It is no longer possible to build underwater.

  • Sulfur and Sulfuric Acid prices have been slightly increased.

  • Micro-Furnaces are now as fast as manual crafting (4 times faster than before) and have double the inventory capacity.

  • Anvil smelting speed has been increased from 4 times slower than manual smelting to 3 times slower.

  • All buildings in a base will now deactivate if the base exceeds its Footprint limit.

Quality of Life & Visual Improvements
  • Numerous animation improvements.

  • Some ship parts have been slightly resized (this may cause issues with existing ships, but they should be fixable in the Ship Editor).

  • Various visual improvements across the game.

Bug Fixes & Optimisations
  • Fixed a case where Extractors could turn off on their own.

  • Fixed an issue preventing Wanderback destinations from being changed once set.

  • Fixed the throttle error.

  • Fixed Fuel Generator consumption issues.

  • Fixed a bug preventing Requests with multiple items from being completed correctly.

  • Fixed some Factory recipes not consuming power.

  • It is now possible to dismantle Pathway Holders.

  • Various additional fixes and optimisations.

Patch Notes v0.2.20270

We’re currently planning to wipe the servers with the next beta patch, which is scheduled for Monday 11/05.

There are several reasons for this wipe, including changes to planet terrain generation and resource placement systems. We want to do this as early as possible so we have time to properly test these changes during the beta.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue in the German language options with multiple choices that displayed the same text.

  • Fixed an issue where the French language was preventing players from doing FTL jumps.
