Major Update #1 – New Content & Visual improvment

Posted on October 8, 2026October 8, 2026 By SpaceCraft

Hello Pioneers,

Our first major update is live! Check out the changelist below, and explore the highlights in our previous blogs:

  • Extractor Pods, Trade Nexus Upgrades & Level 6 Content

  • Restricted Areas, Traveling Merchants & Visual Improvements

Enjoy the update, Pioneers!

Gameplay
  • Traveling Merchants: You may now encounter 6 different types of traveling merchants with limited supply of credits and goods to sell and buy (unique to each player).

Merchant types: Ores, Ingots, Components, Ship modules, Ship hulls, and Electronics.

  • Mag Plasma Delivery: You can now order Mag Plasma from the nearest stations using your Mag Plasma Tank.

  • Building Customization: You can now customize building colors, and add labels and icons.

  • Trade Nexus overhaul:

    • Trade nexus screen redesigned for better readability and usability (sorting, filtering, search bar)

    • Added ability to create Buy Orders in the trade nexus with an option to allow or forbid partial fulfillment by other players.

    • Trade nexus operations are now logged for your corporation.

  • Remote Extraction: Extraction Pods can now be crafted and deployed on unclaimed deposits to extract resources outside of your base. Once a Pod’s storage is full, all resources are shipped to the selected Extraction Bay (a new building required to deploy and collect Pod loot).

    • Each player has a limited number of Extractor Pod slots.

    • Each Pod has limited durability and will need to be recrafted after several uses.

    • Deposits now have a Stability statistic. Lower stability increases the risk of accidents, leaving pods dismantlable by anyone.

    • Stability does not impact base extractors. Deposit stability gradually recovers over time.

  • Patch management:

    • Patches can now be installed without removing modules from your ship. They can be freely removed from modules with an 80% chance of breaking.

    • Patch management can now also be performed in your base’s shipyard.

    • Modules now display empty and filled patch slots in your inventory.

    • Each module now has a level; patches require a module of the same level or lower.

    • Last Yield II added to the game (+40%).

    • Increased Output IV added to the game (+200%).

  • New Permits:

    • Remote Access: Enables you to build a Nexus Relay to operate the Trade Nexus remotely.

    • Heavy Beam: Unlocks Giant lasers and their overclocked version. Only these lasers can receive the new Mining Output IV patches.

    • Remote Extraction: Unlocks Extraction pods and grants additional deployment slots.

  • Technology LV6:

    • Advanced extractors: 33% faster.

    • Freighters: Upgraded shuttles that travel farther, faster and with more storage capacity.

    • Advanced drones: Moves items three at a time.

    • Medium fuel generators

  • Exploration LV6:

    • Silent Thruster: A faster thruster offering a balance between speed and handling.

    • Isotopic Generator: A ship generator producing a small amount of energy without needing light or fuel.

    • Paradoxical Battery: A battery that only recharges during FTL jumps.

    • Big Mag Plasma Tank

    • Added in level 2 – LR Speedster: a ship module that improves your boost.

  • Science LV6:

    • Long Haul Thruster: the fastest thruster yet, at the cost of maneuverability.

    • Cosmic Condenser: a building that slowly produces Mag-Plasma.

    • More coming in the next update.

Balancing
  • Solo mode Rework: Solo play now matches multiplayer progression rates thanks to a new catch-up system. Upon logging back in, the game simulates your offline time to calculate and grant all accumulated gains and losses.

  • Reset account Cooldown: Added a cooldown before account resets to prevent starter ship dismantling abuses.

  • New XP Sources:

    • Added new items to the Technology experience list: Silicon Gel, Semiconductor Substrates, Watertight Pipes, Thermal Sheets, Hall Alternator, Pumps, Vanadium, Hydraulic Actuator, and Quantic Graphene.

    • New study levels for science.

    • A new item “Galactic Map” can be purchased from merchants or found as loot to grant Exploration XP.

  • Ship Balancing:

    • Upgraded Titanium hull parts of size 3×1 and 3×2.

    • Ship speed calculation reworked. Ships can now reach higher speeds with more thrusters; but are less maneuvrable and take longer to accelerate / decelerate.

    • Ship boost enhanced.

  • QoL & Adjustements:

    • Search bars added to multiple interfaces (Workshop, Shuttlepad, Assemblers, Factories…)

    • Base Smelter can now access Advanced warehouse storage.

    • Trading Box storage upgraded from 400 to 800.

    • Recyclers now feature output drone routes. The scrap currently being processed is now displayed. Added a “Take All” button, and the “Add All” button is now greyed out when there is no scrap in inventory.

    • Shuttle Pad allows you to set max values for items in their storage. Various interface overhaul.

    • Pathway points are now displayed in the Galaxy Map

    • You can now open menus during landing and takeoff.

    • Blueprints can now be stored and will no longer be lost upon death.

    • An energy graph is now available in your base central computer.

    • You can now re-customize your character back in the Debt Quarter of Babylon.
