Patch Notes v0.1.15670

General

  • Fixed various bugs and lock-related issues

  • Added locked content (not available in the current playtest)

Gameplay

  • Reworked ship placement in docks; a single dock can now store more ships

  • Dismantling a control base now returns a base core drive

Patch Notes v0.1.15595 & Data Reset

New Data Reset

Due to a save data corruption issue introduced during the last reset, the game has been offline since yesterday. While the bug itself has been fixed, the save data is still corrupted.

At this point, we had two options:

  • Spend development time attempting to repair the corrupted save data.

  • Perform a new reset and get the game back online in time for the weekend.

We’ve chosen to perform a new reset so we can focus our efforts on moving development forward and provide access again as soon as possible.

This is a decision we’re only making because the game is still in early development. It will not be an option once development progresses further.

We sincerely apologize to the testers who’ve shown so much dedication and made great progress since the last reset.

  • Fixed many regressions, including hard and soft locks

  • Fixed an issue where the ship became invisible in the station after being destroyed

  • Fixed a bug that made it impossible to build an extractor

  • Fixed visibility issues during docking and undocking sequences

  • Added a bus travel terminal in Babylon Station

  • Fixed an incorrect collision in the docks of large stations

UI

  • It is now possible to hold the +/- buttons to change quantities quickly

  • All pending transfers are now automatically applied when closing a chest UI

  • The custom player base name is now displayed in the bus travel interface and in the respawn popup

We’re still investigating regressions affecting server stability

Data Reset

  • All player progression has rolled back to zero

  • The structure of the universe has been modified

General

  • General performances improvements

  • Reworked universe generation

    • Added 7 small first-person instances to the generation

    • A few minor changes to which sectors contain which resources

  • Major refactoring of planetary resources. It should lead to major performances improvements on planets surface

  • Rework docked ship status. Should fix various bug, including :

    • After a deconnection or a crash during the undocking process, the ship could get stuck inside the Station

    • Sometimes, after a first ship creation or a modification in the station’s shipyard, the ship was not visible in the dock

  • Reworked cinematic sequences (docking, undocking, landing pad). Some visibility issues still remains when viewing other player’s ships, we’re still working on it

  • Set Simple Hose Pump and Liquid Tanks as uncraftable, temporarily

  • Improved the ship visibility in docks during the tutorial

  • Rewoked player death

  • Slightly increased crafting costs of Construction Tool 2.0 and Construction Tool 3.0

  • Nerfed wreck and instance loot so as to reduce impact on progression (might have over-nerfed a bit. We will see)

Corporations

  • Added permits to corporations, purchasable with corporations credits

  • Added licences to corporations, purchasable with licence points

  • Ships and bases can now be transferred to a corporation

  • Fixed credit transfer to corporations

UI

  • Added more item categories

  • Fixed categories in the science UI

  • Replaced some generic icons with more specific

  • Fixed scroll issues in the warehouse UI

Ship editor

  • Added a feature to resume ship editing after a disconnection

  • Added more permits for ship customization (decals)

  • Disabled the “create ship” button when the limit is reached

Upcoming Data Reset

We’re preparing to roll out a new system to improve performances with planet resources.

To support this change, the database will be reset later this week and all progress will be lost.

General

  • Fixed several crash scenarios

  • Reduced interaction distance in FPS mode

  • Removed some incorrect visual artefacts on planetary surfaces

Gameplay / Balancing

  • Uranium nuggets now cost 1 credit apiece, and can be dropped or sold. (temporary fix)

  • Changes to the experience progress unlocks:

    • All 3 trees (exploration, science, and technology) unlock permits up to level 5

    • A lot of craft have been locked temporarily and cannot actually be used, even though they are visible in the permit

    • All 3 trees unlock a unique persona customization at level 3 and 5

Ship editor

  • Fixed various issues with the shipyard in player bases

  • Added a “dismantle” button for ships

  • Pressing the Escape key no longer exits the editor

  • Fixed FTL issue when missing mag-plasma

  • Fixed connection failure issues

  • Fixed hard-lock issues when connecting to the game in a space station

Gameplay

  • Implemented the Shipyard building for planetary bases. Still a work in progress; some features may be missing

  • Fixed an issue where damaged ship parts could prevent validation in the editor

  • Improved jump behaviour when releasing movement keys during a jump

  • Set items sold by the Company Exchanger, and their prices, for every station currently in the game

  • Increased the cost of mag-plasma and repairs in Ur Station

  • Patches are now installed with the help of the shipyard clerk instead of on the dock

UI

  • Fixed ship boosting while in the UI

  • Added a tooltip to adjust plasma consumption when targeting a planet for an FTL jump

Graphics

  • Added a new model for the entrance of first-person instances on planets
